Now all over Ukraine, people are suffering from the severe consequences of hostilities. Many Ukrainians are forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in safer regions of the country. In modular towns, people are already safe, but they are in a state of maximum anxiety about their future. It is like escaping from HELL and finding yourself halfway to HEAVEN, there is still a long way of socialization ahead, many difficult psychological stages of adaptation. A new life is ahead.
Volunteer Tetyana Koval works at the PSP location in the modular town in Brovary with a friendly small team. They help to harmonize the psychological state of residents. Children, as well as elderly people, come to PSP events.
Shelter in a modular town is found by people in dire despair who have nowhere else to return. Everyone has their own scary story. Therefore, PSP volunteers conduct activities with elements of creativity, active games, small family events. Recently, on the initiative of the Danish Red Cross in Ukraine, colleagues from the IFRC Reference Center for Psychosocial Support visited the modular town. Colleagues met with residents of the modular town and got to know their stories. The main goal of the visit was to create a better system of support for the population and to promote the development of psychosocial support.
I would personally like to thank Tetyana Koval (leader of the PSP volunteers) and L.P. Yarych, the Head of the Brovarska MRO TCHHU. for the operational assistance they provided to the families of the victims in the Trust Center when the accident happened in the city of Brovary on January 18, 2023. as a result of a helicopter falling on a kindergarten.
