The Kyiv Oblast Organization of the TCHHU implements the Household Support Program in the Kyiv Oblast. This program is implemented by the Red Cross Society of Ukraine in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with funding from the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the US State Department.
In the Kyiv region, 3 villages were selected to participate in the project: Kopyliv, Motyzhyn, and Severynivka. At the beginning of the Russian invasion, these settlements were under occupation and suffered large-scale destruction as a result of shelling. Therefore, this project is designed to support affected households.
The assistance includes direct financial assistance and the provision of agricultural machinery to choose from: a gasoline walk-behind tractor, a gasoline generator, a polycarbonate greenhouse, and a pump. That is, the beneficiaries could choose one of the proposed devices that best meets their needs. Thanks to this help, people will be able to fully manage their homesteads and engage in gardening.
As part of the program, 276 people received help in the Kyiv region. The total was provided:
This kind of support for Ukrainian families affected by a full-scale invasion will make them less vulnerable and more independent.
We are always close to those who need support!
