Knowledge that saves lives

From July 11 to 13 this year, a "First Aid" training was organized for the 4th mobile brigades of the Kyiv regional organization of the TCHHU. The training was conducted by experienced instructors from the National Committee of the TCHHU.

First aid skills are extremely important in today's conditions of war in Ukraine and require constant updating and improvement. Therefore, this event was aimed at improving qualifications and improving the skills of providing assistance without the necessary equipment.

The training program is designed for 6 hours and included the following topics:

• First aid algorithm
• Restorative position
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Airway obstruction
• Bleeding. First aid
• Wounds and burns. First aid
• Injuries. Transportation
• Help with other urgent conditions

The training consisted of a theoretical and a practical part. After getting acquainted with the theory, all those willing had the opportunity to practice various techniques and practice first aid on mannequins. Having tried in practice what was said by the instructors in the theoretical part, you can come to the conclusion that the correct provision of first aid is not so easy.

At the end of the training, the participants were presented with certificates of an international standard, stating that their owners had completed a 6-hour first aid training. This certificate is valid for 3 years. The knowledge acquired at the training will significantly increase the level of readiness of our mobile teams to respond to emergency situations, which is very important today.
