Help during winter

Kyiv region continues to receive important assistance during this difficult winter period. This time, the Ukrainian Red Cross delivered 50 generators of various capacities to the Kyiv region.

These generators will help boarding schools and inpatient social service departments to operate without interruption, even if the power is cut off.

The following received assistance:
✅10 social service centres, geriatric and psychoneurological boarding schools, where 1,964 people live, including 328 displaced persons
✅27 inpatient departments that care for 707 people, 75 of whom are displaced persons

Thanks to the generators, these institutions will be able to continue operating normally, and their residents will have light, heat and the necessary care even during emergency power outages.

These generators are part of the large-scale international support that the Ukrainian Red Cross receives from the EU. In particular, 447 generators have been transferred to Ukraine from the European Union's strategic reserves #rescEU under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. They are intended to support communities most affected by attacks on energy infrastructure.

We sincerely thank our partners for their support and care for people during this difficult time.
