Kyiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine actively continues its activities in distributing humanitarian aid to the population of Kyiv region
Field of work Humanitarian aid is exactly what most people associate the Red Cross with. The Kyiv regional organization TCHHU continues to help the most vulnerable categories of the region's population, including both local and internally displaced persons. These categories include: IDPs, people with disabilities, elderly people, large families, single parents, unemployed people who lost their jobs after 24.02.2022, people whose homes were destroyed or whose relatives died.
TCHU centers are deployed in Buchansk, Kyiv-Sviatoshyn, Boryspil, Brovar, Vyshhorod, Bilotserkiv, and Obukhiv districts. A total of 33 local centers operate in the region. Since the beginning of 2023, more than 30,000 people have received humanitarian aid. As of the beginning of May this year, the following were issued in the Kyiv region:
- 9000 food sets;
- 12,000 hygiene kits;
- 1800 children's sets;
- 3000 bed sets;
- 8000 blankets
