Opening of the PSP center in Irpin.

On February 7, 2024, a landmark event for our organization took place - the official opening of the Center for Psychosocial Support in Irpin. This is the 8th such center in Ukraine and the first in the Kyiv region. It is equipped on the basis of the Bucha city-district organization of the URCS. Its purpose is to provide psychological support to all who need it in these difficult times for all of us. Although this is not professional psychological help, but a basic level, experience shows that it really works and prevents the development of more serious mental health problems.

The center offers recreational activities, creative classes for children and adults, and family events. Recreational activities are measures aimed at using a person's free time to improve or restore their psychological state. Creativity is used as an auxiliary element to help a person distract from problems and worries and to unleash their inner potential. The activities are led by trained volunteers who have been trained in PSP and have relevant knowledge. Our FST center is modernly equipped and has all the conditions for a comfortable stay of visitors. There are play areas for children (table football, tables with kinetic sand, a dry ball pool), comfortable furniture (tables, soft poufs) and everything else you need.

The next day after the opening of the Center, the Bucha MRO of the URCS was visited by distinguished guests - the Ministers of Health of Denmark and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Danish Red Cross. As part of the visit, the delegations attended art classes for children and talked to visitors. In addition, they got acquainted with the activities of the PSP in general and discussed important issues of further cooperation in the field of mental health. This visit once again emphasizes the importance of the event. We are happy to have participated in the creation of this wonderful center.

We would like to inform you that the PSP center is already operating at the address: 120a Severynivska Street, Irpin. Events are held from Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 16:00. Attendance is free of charge.

There are plans to extend the working hours so that people can come to the center and receive help throughout the day.

We are here for you!
