The "Road to Home" project has started working on the territory of the Vyshgorod district.

What can we imagine now... nothing! The last year proved to many of us that all our plans can be fatally changed in an instant. In one moment, each of us can lose loved ones, a favorite job, a house... and there is only uncertainty ahead. Elderly people especially suffer in these difficult conditions. In the department of inpatient care for permanent or temporary residence of the Myroniv district, the team of the TCHU was warmly welcomed. It was a pleasant visit for the residents. It is very important for people to feel that they are cared about and not forgotten. We heard a lot of pleasant feedback about the PSP events held by Anna Yamniuk, the leader of the PSP volunteers of Myronivska MRO. We were told many stories. Among which there were happy and sad ones. Someone found new friends here, and someone met their last love. Everyone's stories are different. Some live in the past and only occasionally return to reality. There was a story about a grandfather who one morning plucked all the flowers in the pots on the windowsills and for some reason started running down the corridor with a very nervous look. When he calmed down a little, he said that he was running along the corridor of the maternity hospital and waiting for his wife to give birth to a son. In the evening he walked happily. He told everyone that his son was named Serhiy. This is the story of a very lonely man. And there are many of them here. The purpose of the PSP events conducted by Anna Yamnyuk in this institution is to pay attention to people, talk, and raise their spirits. Sometimes a simple word and support can help a person. It is important now to extend a helping hand to those who urgently need it. The team of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society provides not only medical, financial and humanitarian aid to people affected by the war in Ukraine, but also focuses on supporting the mental health of the population. On the initiative of the Danish Red Cross in Ukraine, colleagues from the IFRC Reference Center for Psychosocial Support visited Ukraine. They will visit several regions of Ukraine, in particular the Kyiv region. Colleagues meet with the population and the team of the TCHU. The main purpose of the visit is to help the TCHU create a better system of support for the population, employees and volunteers, to promote the development of the organization's activities as a whole, as well as the direction of psychosocial support.
